September 4th, 2013

Today started off with me brilliantly forgetting to set my alarm and waking up a half hour before we had to leave.  After a rushed breakfast we took the underground to what I think was the northern side of town, but I really don't know.  We were supposed to be taking a "tour" of Prague but what it really was, was us attempting to navigate the streets and underbelly of Prague without the help of our guides.  Even worse, when we did ask our guide for help she did not know where we were a lot of the time leaving us hopelessly lost.  By the time we made it back to the school (which is in a castle) all they had left was cold pizza.  Mine had spinach, cheese, and egg.  I was not at all a fan.  We then had to suffer through two more hours of orientation before we finally were let out.  Much to everyones surprise, our czech buddies were not there to pick us up and we were left to find our own way home.  My flatmate and I got lost, wandered the streets and finally through the most round-about way possible made it back home where I now sit starving.  Hopefully our flatmate will be back soon to help us shop or we may all die of hunger.  I have also discovered that one of my roommates is one of those people who more or less yells at people who don't understand english because somehow, talking louder will make them understand better.
