September 5th, 2013

After the world's worst scavenger hunt and more orientation my flatmate and I decided to go to this event where you hike to the top of a hill that overlooks all of Prague.  We find our way to the meeting spot without getting lost only to realize no one is there.  The poster said Wed. night, but the post on Facebook, made an hour earlier, says see you tonight.  After having made is across the river for only the second time we decided to do some exploring.  After getting to look around Old Town I don't know that I have ever been so in love with a city.  It is quite possibly the most amazing place on earth.  In our wandering we found a beautiful view from a castle, a vineyard on a cliffside, swans all over, cute little stores and restaurants, a gondola, a Mediterranean farmers market and many street performers.  Oh, and some peeing fountains.  Afterward we went out for a drink at a local pub and got hit on by a 27 year old Czech man.  I think my Czech experience has officially begun.

Prague seems to be just as beautiful as I've been told it is. What a gift to be able to live there for a time. Enjoy yourself, be well, learn things. I'm looking forward to hearing more. Much love, Michael
